Rivers Inlet is a long fjord on BC’s central coast with no road connection to the rest of the province. For this job for Matcon, PCE moved its excavators, a pickup, a site office trailer and crew RVs in by tug and barge, and worked from the landing.
On site the crew cleared and excavated for the new crossing, handled logs and placed rock along the creek. The finished bridge carries the gravel road over the creek through the trees.
Why it matters for your project
Remote jobs live or die on planning: getting the right machines on the barge the first time, carrying spares and fuel, and keeping a crew fed and housed. PCE has done it. If your site is only reachable by water or air, ask us how we would mobilize.
